Hey all,
- It's been a rather long time since this club moved through the wilderness. I'm afraid I didn't have the time to be here. I'm not sure if I can revive this club either. I need to know how many out there are still want to be actively apart of this club.
I do mean more than just sending submissions in, this is a place for deviants of Tasmania to be in communication and as well as availability towards each other. In basic terms entering contests, sharing local art events, other sorts of advertisements.
I don't have much faith though, because I know the last time I tried this it slowly died. So my motivational tolerance isn't all that high this time round. But I'll give it another attempt!
Until I see a decent amount of comments on this journal cheering for the clubs return lol
It'll be nice to start up again...

Devious Comments
Sending submissions, being in communication, and the odd contest or two should have been the main goal. Certainly makes a community as far as I'm concerned.
But trying to devmeets to work? Well i doubt it'll ever work in tasmania, we're too small a community, other clubs could probably get it to work because either all members are geographically tight, or there's just a lot of members.
Also i think it would be fair to say the majority of members aren't just in Hobart or Launceston, we are all over the place, which means the amount of people to actually make the devmeet is a lot smaller than the total members of the club. It just does not seem viable in Tasmania.
Then again, i may be biased here, the idea of meeting other members doesn't really appeal to me, i just like the comfort of having a club of Tassies which allows them to share each others' art. Be a shame to close a club simply because devmeets and the like don't work.

I'm not a thin person.. rather I got so fat that my body collapsed in on itself.
Anyways I'll be active.

The main issue I have here is that there was not much communication or activeness. It is a place where I like people to come up with ideas for contests and other sorts of niches for members to be apart of. Its bothersome when there are only 5 people who like to comment here; out of the 155. True not everyone is active, some may have left by now or just want to have their names on a local forum. Its all fair and reasonable and we accept it. However to put time and effort in and get a real minimal response, isn't fair to us, or those who are hearing trying to help.
This journal is here to see who is watching and at least to tell me that there are people taking notice of the artwork that is submitted here. Then I can build it up from there.
Submissions are always active though. Usually there are those who are have a weekly rountine of sending items in, which encourages others to join in here and there as well.
So all isn't lost.

I can't believe the stuff that isn't I Can't Believe it's Not Butter isn't I Can't Believe it's Not Butter, and I can't believe that both I Can't Believe it's Not Butter and the stuff I can't believe isn't I Can't Believe it's Not Butter aren't butter
I love veiwing the talent throughout fellow Tasmanians and it is truly great to see a wide variety of styles and personalities,
If you deeply feel that you cannot run the club anymore, give it to the hands on someone you trust to take over and look after it. I've been there before with a club i ran, and it took about half a year for me to be enthusiastic enough to start running it again.
Please, don't give up
